CIRCUS HETEROTOPIUS
The school for Circus Arts intends to explore the image of the Circus. It aims at combining various artistic forms into a given space at a given time. The magic of the venue and its representation allow those diverse artistic forms to interplay perfectly.
In line with this, Michel Foucault, the famous French theorist and philosopher, referred to the concept of heterotopia. He defines heterotopia as a physical location of utopia. These are concrete spaces that host the imagination
The Centre for Circus Arts enables the student to discover the Circus world not only through the teaching classes (formal learning) but also by experiencing the magic of what the place has to offer (informal learning).
