The site is at the crossroads between the Fort Vauban, the historical city centre and the ocean. First, the building creates an atmosphere typical from the marinas with the strikes of the mats and fells the breeze of the sails. The architecture uses two distinct forms related to two historical periods of the site: the industrial period, with boxes as containers, covered by a gigantic sail stretched between mats, typical of the architecture of leisure boats. To finish, the form and the materiality of the building, pure and neutral are in contrast with the historical archi- tectural landscape of Saint Malo.
